This is just a placeholder entry, but we're in the process of doing QA on the True Faith bundle, as the versions I posted were not up to our high standards. Five of the eight tracks have been redone, and so far everything sounds perfect.
Just amazing to see the time, effort and care spent on getting these right. Nothing less than the music deserves of course but I'm finally able to recreate a quality cassette version of Substance thanks to the people involved here.
Thank you very much for the incredible work you are doing guys!! It's amazing to rediscover all those tracks just as they were supposed to sound like - and the artwork is simply out of this world!
And since we are at it, a little "technical" question: I want to rip the albums to complete the discography, so which are the cd editions to get in order to match (if possible) your wonderful work? I guess the deluxe versions are totally our of the question, but are the London Records reissues good enough? These are the two editions I have now... Thanks again!!
Bruno Republic: Do you have the London version of Low-life? Is it too pre-emph challenged as the original UK FACD100 is (either the 1st pressing made In Japan, or the later one made in UK)?
You have my email so feel free to reply off-blog.... cheers!
A careful restoration of Joy Division/New Order's years on Factory Records (and maybe a little before and after).
All tracks were taken from the best/earliest possible sources to avoid modern mastering techniques which crush the dynamics. Tracks sourced from vinyl have been carefully cleaned and EQ levels have been tweaked for consistency. The artwork was scanned at the highest possible resolution and the type was reset when possible using the original fonts.
All of these singles are out-of-print. Many of the tracks have never appeared on CD. This was a labor of love from a small, devoted circle of fans.
These singles changed my life. I hope they change yours, too. If you like what you hear support the band by purchasing their catalog.
Looking forward to this single - it's such a great song! Thanks again for your hard work in releasing these.
ReplyDeleteI hope that we see an official release of these singles with this much care and quality control. Let's hope :)

ReplyDeleteThank you very, very much.
Phew,
ReplyDeletefor two weeks i thought that the project was well and truely over. Thanks for the hard work guys!
Awesome news
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your hard work. I was thinking of doing this with all my original NO 12"'s [remembering Gretton's original idea].
ReplyDeleteThen I got to thinking about the massive amount of time and effort required and heaved a heavy sigh, knowing I'd probably never get round to it.

@Tente:
ReplyDeleteThe London CDs are digitally identical to the original Factory editions.
Thanks!
