Update-y

Obviously I didn't get to see Bad Loo at Coachella. No Delphic or Cribs (Johnny Marr), either. The festival was otherwise wonderful - I never thought I'd get to see Public Image Limited live. Devo, Little Boots, Hot Chip, LCD Soundsystem, Aeroplane, and Gorillaz were other highlights for me.

I've got three DJ gigs in the next eight days - one of them in another state. Work on Recycle continues, however. Just to recap what's coming up:

- Atmosphere '88 reconceptualized as a live EP

- Substance documentaries produced by Radio 1 in 1988 covering both bands

- Substance live - recorded front-to-back in Irvine, September 1987

- "Factory Extras" discs covering non-album/single material 1980-1990

  1. nor can I. I check this blog a few times a day. Atmosphere 88 as a live EP? Sweet. That is all I can say.

I can't tell you how many times i've listened to These Days, your matrix. It's probably my favorite live Joy Division track. Only if we could have had Dead Souls in this quality!

thank you so much. I got into Joy Division a year ago. Ate up all the releases I could get my hands onto (all the different pressings and remasters made my head spin). There isn't a lot out there, so these post are super special to me.

  4. Can't wait - shame about bad loo, but did you see Porcupine Tree or is that not your cup of tea?

  5. Thanks for the wonderfully marvelous blog. Take your time -- you owe nothing.

One question though, whe doesn't Barney and the boys ever tour - and I mean REALLY TOUR - the ol' USofA? It seems like as soon as they arrive they are ready to leave. Only A-ha has them beat.

Thanks again for the great stuff!
